Both The Simpsons and Futurama will see representation in the form of panels tomorrow at Comic Con International 2009 in the San Diego convention center, California.
According to press releases, audience members at The Simpsons panel can expect a sneak preview at the upcoming 20th Treehouse of Horror episode, “Treehouse of Horror XX”, along with further information regarding the 21st season of the show. Catch the panel at 1:45pm in ballroom 20.
Creator Matt Groening, showrunner Al Jean, executive producer Matt Selman and supervising director Mike Anderson will join some voice actors from the series at the panel.
Also due to appear at the convention is the cast behind the recently revived Futurama. This however contradicts the recent news that Fox is looking for an all-new cast for the show due to wage disagreements. Hopefully, all doubt and confusion will culminate at the panel tomorrow, when it preceeds The Simpsons panel at 1:00pm, also in ballroom 20.
This is great! Cannot wait. Hopefully they don’t re-cast Futurama.
Finally all the fans of the Simpsons (and futurama of course) will have chance to get first hand information. No more speculations, no more rumors- just the real facts about the future of the show. I think that thinks will be much cleaner after this conference.
This will be, of course, great chance to get more people interested in the show before the start of the new season, especially with the appearance of the main stars of the show.
Can’t wait to read about this tomorrow…:)
And Homer is there!
RT @HomerJSimpson I’m at Comic-Con! I’m hoping to meet Matt Groening so I can thank him for giving us “Family Guy.” #sdcc
