π it is going to take a while for those to get to Portugal… the latest issue I got is “The Simpsons Classics #20”
Pedro@ Yes, but at least You get this comics in Your country. π What should I say? Every month I got to order new issues from some internet comic book shop, pay very high shipping and handling, and then when comics finally arrive (it sometimes take a month) I got to pay some extra taxis for taking things abroad (funny, but my government still got taxis for this things). Expensive and complicated? Very much, but Bongo comics deserves every possible effort to get them. π
I am really looking forward to this cross over, it promises a lot. I only hope that long story plot like this wont be boring at some point, although Bongo got some very good writers.
Other thing that I will certainly buy is Simspons Summer Shindig. I really like all the annuals from Bongo (like Winter Wingding and Treehouse of Horror), but this is my favorite! π
Really hot summer from Bongo for fans round the world! π
i can’t wait to read the radioactive man comic i still remember the 3 stories back in 1995 when bongos collide it had radioactive man and bartman working togther i don’t think that it will be good as the old one but i hope its good enough. and also i read the summer shingdind and its really good one of the best summer shingdings!
@ Nicolas
What country do you live in?
@ Santos L. Halper- Serbia, another little Balkan country. π
We don’t have any comicbook shop with regular international comics, although we got a couple shops with very expensive trades and hard cover comics (sometimes even double expensive comparing with internet prices).
That’s why internet shopping is my only option…
hey i’m from Croatia and i live in Canada small world eh. it’s a shame there arn’t any comics in croatia or serbia.
@ Marbat- Yeah, there are only couple of international kiosk in Slovenia, so from time to time I contact some of my friends to see if they can buy me some new Bongo issues. It’s quite complicated situation for someone who like to read comics from US…
Can’t deny Nicolas and any one else who gets them from your part of the world, you guys are dedicated followers.
i just bought the first issue i think its great but the story is kinda slow but i just can’t wait to see what happens to radioactive man…
i just bought the secound issue and the story is picking up, but i still don’t know what changes happened to radioactive man, i guess i’ll know in the last issue… can’t wait!!
Anyone bought Simpsons Super Spectacular #9? I came back from vacation last night, and today I’m gonna order all three issues at once! π
It’s not gonna be the same to read all three at once. It was nicer to wait new week for new comic and reviling of the whole story, but I’m not complaining too much: It’s only important to read this cross over!
@Nicolas i just bought the last issue(super spectacular#9) and their is a suprise at the end, but it isn’t what we all thought. i won’t give you any detalis because it will be won’t be fun to read but Homer wasn’t in it alot i think he had only a couple of panels… all in all a good cross over but i liked the one in 1995 more. it had more action.. anyway a good cross over i give it a 8.2/10.,.,.
It’s nice to hear that this cross over is a good success, honestly I was a bit anxious to see will Bongo be able to do the same job as good as they done it in 1995.
I read some columns about this cross over, and people generally like it, although some of them said that the story is a bit slow and the plot is a little naive…
I can’t wait to get my copies of this issues, but all waiting is worth of the Simpsons! π
Yea… i think that the whole thing could of been done in 2 comics instead of 3. the 2nd part of the story i think we all could of lived without, and still know whats happening in the story, but i’ts a history in the making comic.. it has that 20 years of the simpsons logo at the top.. and i’ts good to have in the collection, gathering dust LOL.
This got nothing to do with this cross over, but for me, this is an really great think for the Simpsons Comics! One of the best MAD magazine artist has joined the Bongo crew!

i don’t read mad magazine but i’ll take your word that he is a good artist.
I don’t read this magazine either but I know that Sergio Aragones used to be one of the oldest and the greatest illustrators in MAD magazine, and that’s one of the reason why I was so amazed.
It’s not usual that old- generation artists change companies like this. Live legends usually get life time contracts (since most of them never go to retirement), but Bongo probably gave him offer that he couldn’t deny…
Here’s one more interesting interview with him-
