A total of 5.29 million viewers tuned in to send off The Simpsons for another season, and to watch possibly the start of a new Springfield romance between Ned Flanders and Edna Krabappel, in ‘The Ned-Liest Catch’.
The figures are not the best, unfortunately. The episode, which asked it’s 5 million viewers to log on to thesimpsons.com to decide the outcome of the episode, had the fifth-lowest viewership of any new episode in history.
- “The Great Simpsina” (season 22) – 4.99 million
- “Million Dollar Maybe” (season 21) – 5.11 million
- “Four Great Women and a Manicure” (season 20) – 5.16 million
- “Postcards from the Wedge” (season 21) – 5.23 million
- “The Ned-Liest Catch” (season 22) – 5.29 million
The finale of Bob’s Burgers followed at 8.30, with 4.26 million viewers. Family Guy’s season finale also had disappointing numbers, with 5.85 million people tuning in over the hour. The main competition for the night, the Billboard Awards, did not fare very well either, peaking at 9.41 million viewers at 9.00.
Fox’s lineup was fourth overall for the night, but second among the target demographic 18 – 49.
We’d like you to rate last night’s episode below, as well as vote about your feelings towards Nedna, since the official website’s poll is not public which kinda renders the promise of it being our decision, well, up to us taking their word for it.

Yes to nedna!!
What do you guys think of nedna?
The Simpson are losing audience with the years. The series died 12/13 years ago. It´s sad but we must asume it. RIP The Simpson.
