Brooks, executive producers behind The Simpsons, are hoping President Obama will agree to lend his voice to an episode of the series.

Al Jean Speaks Simpsons
In a recent conference call, Al Jean spoke about what we can expect to see from both season 20 of The Simpsons and the show’s future in general. Jean spoke about the possible return of Plopper the Pig from The Simpsons Movie, writing for the character of Ned Flanders, another Simpsons movie which may be in the works, The Simpsons Ride and even the possibility of the Simpson kids ever growing up.

Nicole Kidman Wanted For Simpsons
Aussie actor Nicole Kidman remains elusive to producers of The Simpsons, refusing invitations to make a guest appearance. “We approached Nicole (Kidman) when we were looking for a celebrity couple back when she was married to Tom Cruise,” said executive producer Al Jean. “Some way, sooner or later, we should be able to get her, though.”
Just two Australians have appeared on the show, actor Mel Gibson and media mogul Rupert Murdoch, both based in the United States. “It is amazingly popular in Australia and the UK, in some ways more popular than in the US,” Jean said.

Paris Hilton To Lend Her Voice?
It must be the week for uncertain guest voice information, with an appearance by Madonna doing the rounds the other day, socialite Paris Hilton may be the next making a guest appearance in The Simpsons. Creator of the show Matt Groening is reportedly desperate to get Hilton on board. Groening has said recently: “Her name is on the list. It could be a good show.” He may want to make sure that she can read her lines first…
In other Hilton news, the Simple Life star has broken her toe and has no idea how! Speaking to the Daily Star before last night’s Oscar ceremony she said of her toe: “It’s the size of a water melon. How am I going to wear my Jimmy Choos?”

Madonna Set To Guest Star?
Madonna is set to make a guest appearance on The Simpsons. According to the Daily Star, the Queen of Pop will take a liking to Homer before going head-to-head with Marge in a battle for his heart. “It’s Madge versus Marge, and Madonna will certainly show Homer a thing or two that Marge has never attempted,” a source told the newspaper.

Princes Wanted For Simpsons Cameo
British royal Prince William and his younger brother Prince Harry are being headhunted by TV bosses to star in an episode of cartoon series The Simpsons. Producers of the hit animated show want William to feature as Lisa’s new love interest, while party-loving Harry has been cast as a wacky tearaway pal for Bart. Executive producer Al Jean says, “We’ve thought about approaching Harry and William because we believe they are fans of the show. It would be funny to make one of them Lisa’s boyfriend. I know they’re image conscious, but I don’t see what harm it’ll do.” Jean has also hinted at wanting the princes’ grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, to star in her own episode. He adds, “I’d love to get the Queen on the show. That would be something.” If the royal duo accepted the part, they will follow in the footsteps of other British stars who have enjoyed cameo appearances on The Simpsons, including Elton John, Paul McCartney, and Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Aguilera Turned Down Simpsons Role
Back in October 2004 we reported that Christina Aguilera was to appear in The Simpsons. Now that the episode in question, A Star Is Torn, has come and gone, we seem to have left that piece of news slip away from us, but what became of it? It has come to hand that Aguilera turned down the cameo after all. The sexy star was offered a part in the latest series of the show but snubbed the offer. Producers had wanted the singer to play an aspiring pop star competing in a parody of US TV talent show ‘American Idol’. However, Christina, 24, rejected the part forcing producers to look elsewhere. A month later we reported that Fantasia Barrino had recorded the scenes, and now that the episode has been nominated for an emmy we’re wondering if Aguilera is regretting her decision.

Little Brits For The Simpsons
One wonders which British stars haven’t been promised by Matt Groening to appear on The Simpsons. Now he wants ‘The Only Gay In The Village’ to appear on the hit show. He has revealed he is a big fan of BBC comedy Little Britain – and would love to work with the show’s stars. Groening is now planning to get Matt Lucas – famed for his brooding PVC-clad gay Welsh character Daffyd – and David Walliams on board for an episode. “It would be great fun to get them on The Simpsons,” the Sun (groan) reports him saying. Movie star Johnny Depp recently revealed he loves the show and wants to appear on it, as he did on The Fast Show several years ago. Groening has already shown what a fan he is of British comedy after last month inviting The Office star Ricky Gervais to write an episode of The Simpsons.

Eddie Izzard Set For Simpsons
Eddie Izzard could be the next British star to appear in The Simpsons. Creator Matt Groening is said to be keen to find a cameo role for the comic after meeting him at last week’s British Comedy Awards. The animator called Izzard ‘a genius’, but said he would have to wait for a suitable role to arise before he could join the residents of Springfield. Groening told The Independent: “There’s no saying who we’ll get him to play, but we often don’t get people to play themselves. As soon as the right part comes along, we’ll get Eddie in.” Izzard is a die-hard Simpsons fan, who has previously sat in on a script read-through with the cast. In a recent interview, he said: “I’d love to be in it, but they never asked me, and I don’t want to push it. I think it’s because I’m a cult – rather than a mainstream – name.” But Izzard’s profile in the States is on the rise, and he has just taken a role in the Hollywood blockbuster Oceans Twelve.

American Idol To Guest Star?
Winner of the third series of the successful FOX hit American Idol Fantasia Barrino may be set to appear in an upcoming episode of The Simpsons. If recent rumors are true, the 20 year old winner of the popular talent quest is to appear in an episode in which Lisa enters into an American Idol style television show. Fantasia told Entertainment Weekly recently that she plays a character called Clarissa who has entered into the competition but loses to Lisa Simpson. If true is sounds as if the appearance has already been recorded and so it should be expected to screen during the current season. If any more news regarding this appearance comes to light we’ll let you know.

Christina Aguilera To Guest Star
“Pop singer Christina Aguilera is set to make an appearance on The Simpsons, according to The Sun today. The newspaper claims that Aguilera stars as a “showbiz wannabe” when Lisa Simpson auditions for a Pop Idol-style talent show. Viewers can expect to see Aguilera’s appearance on the show later on in the sixteenth season.” We’d like to hear something more official than “according to The Sun” at the moment due to their general unreliability over the last year or two but we’ll keep you posted if any details regarding an episode of this description comes about.
