Season Ten DVD Details Announced
It’s official. The Simpsons: The Complete Tenth Season will be released on August 7 and will contain loads of extras. In addition to the 23 episodes, the set will contain Deleted Scenes, Animation Showcases, Animatics, Simpsons Movie DVD Sneak Peek, Butterfinger, Intel and CC’s commercials, Crank Calls feature, and a bit from the animators. Preliminary details only feature commentaries on 16 of the 23 episodes but these details may still be incomplete.

December Release For Season 9 DVD
Twentieth Century Fox and a bunch of retail giants have confirmed to TVShowsOnDVD that The Simpsons: The Complete Ninth Season will be released in North America on December 19, just in time for a last minute Christmas gift. The set is expected to be released in other regions in early 2007. Either Bart or Lisa will be featured on the cover and is once again likely to be released with an alternate box. Both box arts should hopefully be revealed soon. Rest assured we’ll bring all the information to you as soon as it’s announced.

Season 8 DVD Alternate Box Art
Following our report earlier in the week, the alternate box for the Season 8 DVD has now been revealed. The set which will be released on August 15 is available in a limited edition Maggie head as well as traditional cardboard box. The art for this box is pictured below. As you can see, the box contains the traditional ‘window’ which allows part of the underneath box to be viewed from the front.

Season 7 DVD Alternate Box Art
With the Marge head casing being offered as the packaging for The Simpsons: The Complete Seventh Season, fans who decided to forgo the previous Homer head packaging will want to continue their line of box-art. Fox announced last month that the set will be available to purchase in two different packages, the Marge casing, or a standard cardboard package like the first five sets. Today we can reveal the new box art, pictured left. It will feature a cutout in the photo shutter keeping it in line with the collection. Fox is labelling this the ‘standard packaging’ while the Marge head is limited edition. The set is due for release on December 13.
