Last night’s episode “Moe Letter Blues” had a total of 5.66 million viewers. The show had a small drop from last weekend which saw over 6 million viewers watching. The drop means that the episode sees itself placed on the five least-watched episodes of all time, rounding out the list at number 5.
- “Million Dollar Maybe” (season 21) – 5.11 million
- “Four Great Women and a Manicure” (season 20) – 5.16 million
- “Postcards From The Wedge” (season 21) 5.23 million
- “American History X-Cellent” (season 21) 5.65 million
- “Moe Letter Blues” (season 21) – 5.66 million
The Cleveland Show followed at 8:30 with 5.28 million viewers. Viewership increased at 9:00 for Family Guy (7.22 million) before American Dad ended the night at 9.30 on 5.75 million viewers — a rare win over The Simpsons. The show was third in its slot at 8:00 behind The Amazing Race and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

“The Bob Next Door” airs next Sunday night on Fox.
I loved the episode! It was like a mystery and interesting. to bad the ratings are so low lately. Hopefully there’ll be a boost in the ratings soon.
meh. it was an alright episode. some good laughs, but kind of a boring plot.
Bad ratings again! although this episode wasn’t that good there were at least one or two key moments.
Roll on “The Bob next door”
i thought it was good, i didnt really think anyone was goin to leave but i
think it was a good storyline
The Simpsons came in a close second in the 18-49 demo for the half-hour, which is the only thing that matters.

Total viewer numbers are irrelevant.
Excellent episode. About time the Lovejoys got a decent role. Too bad it’s so underhyped.
I enjoyed the episode.
I very much liked the story; it was different. Unlike Cleveland and Family Guy, the Simpsons has always been better than them in the sense they can make an episode with a plot and a story – often one with emotion – that doesn’t take away from funny jokes. It’s not pull away joke after pull away joke “like that time I did such and such”, which in my opinion is one of the reasons that The Simpsons remains a superior show.
The original poster could have mentioned that it was the season finale of The Amazing Race, which influenced numbers. Again – I think this site needs some help with writing and postings.
I did not mention the season finale of The Amazing Race. Why? It was the lowest season finale ever. It got the same numbers as last week and The Simpsons pulled higher figures than this week. Therefore it did not have any influence on numbers. I posted this article from my full-time day job, as i always do, so i include the information most relevant to include in the short space of time that i have. Feel free to use the comments form to expand on what I have written — it is what it is here for — but do not criticize every single post on this website. Thankyou.
A very decent episode, but bad ratings, which is in fact maybe has a good reason for it.
I kind of guessed that Moe would never go out with any of the people, but the actual way that they make people think who it is great – This actually got Tim, Homer and Apu thinking, and could even make married couples think of this as well.
Well said.
I think the main reason this didn’t do well in the ratings was because it wasn’t hyped very much. It didn’t even get a promo, for God’s sake. What a way to treat the best episode of the season (yes, I still think that’s what this is. Much better than “Homer the Whopper”, which the writers couldn’t shut up about).

Simpsons getting dirtier! The words penis and bitch are getting used now I’m these last 2 episodes. Why so low in USA, ratings great in UK. Hopefully there will be a 22nd series. And 500+ episodes. I still fond the show funny!!!
The will be a season 22, but season 23 has not yet been confirmed.
The episode could’ve been funnier instead of all of this drama
Looks like season 21 is starting to lose viewers, judging by that bottom five. The Simpsons better do something, quick!
I think they’re getting more desperate. They don’t need to be; they just need to do what they’ve always done.
