Danny Elfman Weds Fonda
Actress Bridget Fonda and composer Danny Elfman were married Thanksgiving weekend, Fonda’s publicist said Friday. The wedding took place near Los Angeles, with the reception at a downtown restaurant, publicist Nancy Seltzer said. The newlyweds are on a two-week honeymoon. Fonda, 39, whose film credits include “Single White Female,” “The Godfather: Part III” and “Jackie Brown,” is part of an acting dynasty that includes father Peter Fonda, aunt Jane Fonda and the late Henry Fonda, her grandfather. Elfman, 50, is the former frontman for the ’80s pop group Oingo Boingo and composer of The Simpsons theme song.

Tonight, He Is A Clown
New episode again tonight, for the sixth week in a row. Tonight’s episode is titled ‘Today, I Am A Clown’. A related article was posted on The Jewish Journal this week. “Krusty the Clown never had a bar mitzvah. It’s a startling confession “Simpsons” fans will hear this Sunday when the Springfield celebrity discovers he doesn’t have a star on the town’s Jewish Walk of Fame. Krusty turns to his Orthodox father, Rabbi Hyman Krustofsky (Jackie Mason), and Mr. T for help. Krustofsky returns to help his son study for his big day ? which he originally opposed for the young Hershel, fearing that he might make a mockery out of it. When Krusty realizes that his show’s shooting schedule has him working on Shabbat, he brings in Homer Simpson as a guest host.” Read More >>>

Sega Sues Fox Over Game
Sega of America on Thursday sued a division of Fox Entertainment and Electronic Arts Inc., saying The Simpsons Road Rage (not Hit & Run) infringes a Sega patent. The suit, filed in San Francisco federal court, named as defendants Fox Film Entertainment, Fox Interactive, the game’s developer Radical Games Ltd, and Electronic Arts. Sega, a division of Japan’s Sega Corp., claims the 2001 video game “Simpsons Road Rage,” was designed to “deliberately copy and imitate” the Sega game “Crazy Taxi,” according to court documents. Sega cited reviews by video game publications of “Simpsons Road Rage” that said the game was very similar to “Crazy Taxi,” including one that characterized “Road Rage” as a “shameless incident of design burglary.” Read More >>>

Beckham Rejected Accepted
We previously reported that champion sportsman David Beckham had been rejected to appear on The Simpsons. Hello! magazine has today reported otherwise. “Star footballer David Beckham is following in the footsteps of famous Brits from Prime Minister Tony Blair to Mick Jagger, with his animated alter-ego making a one-off appearance on TV cartoon hit The Simpsons. While he was passed up for a cameo earlier this year for not being famous enough stateside, the athlete’s whirlwind PR tour of the US apparently had the desired effect. With David’s popularity now on the rise, producers of the popular programme have had a change of heart.” It is likely that Beckman’s appearance will be in next year’s Season 16.

Abe Faces Cybersquatting
An episode from popular cartoon series The Simpsons could result in Grandpa Simpson being accused of infringing on someone else’s domain name. As you can see from the snap of the TV picture, Grandpa is fulminating about how the whole world has gone to rack and ruin. To that end Grandpa Simpson apparently set up his own web site, oldcoot.com, as was revealled in last night’s ‘The Fat And The Furriest’. But unfortunately, the oldcoot.com domain is registered to a real person, Samuel L. Bowman, based in Sharpsville, IN, who operates a business called Granpabusiness.com. This should be an interesting one to watch.

The Fat And The Furriest
Another new episode airs in North America tonight. This one is titled ‘The Fat And The Furriest’, and is the first episode this season that hasn’t sparked a heap media attention. Here’s a description from snpp.com: “After another failed Mother’s day gift, Homer takes the kids to Sprawl-Mart and ends up buying a Kitchen Carnival for Marge. Homer uses the Carnival to create an edible candy man, but Marge finally forces him to take it to the Springfield Dump – where he’s promptly attacked by a bear. When he’s labelled a coward by the media, Homer builds a bear-fighting suit, and after some “Jackass” style testing antics sets out to confront the bear, parodying the little-known Canadian documentary “Project Grizzly.” Catch it tonight on Fox.

Brave Combo To Springfield
Brave Combo has been nominated for Grammy awards. The Denton-based polka, etc. band has won one of the prestigious music business statues. Brave Combo has toured the world, and is able to fill dance floors with the strains of “The Chicken Dance”. But right now the band is understandably excited about getting to work alongside The Simpsons. That’s correct: It appears as if Brave Combo’s tour road is going to take the group through Springfield next year. Word from Brave Combo world headquarters is that Matt Groening, The Simpsons creator, is a fan, so plans are in the works to animate the band for an appearance in a Simpsons episode that’ll run sometime during the first quarter of 2004. These episodes came in at #26 and #27 with just over 12 million viewers for the week.

The Fans Speak Out On BBC
In what may be a case of selective editing, US fans of The Simpsons have told CBBC Newsround that last night’s episode featuring Tony Blair and J.K. Rowling was one of the funniest they’ve seen. Of course, this isn’t the opinion of everyone, but a number of opinions were posted on BBC for the UK fans who want to know if they were treated right. Nicole-Leigh, 14, said: “Oh my gosh, the episode of The Simpsons with JK Rowling was great. For all you Brits, YOU GOTTA SEE IT!!!!!” The episode will air in the United Kingdom in January, where it is bound to rake in the viewers. More Opinions >>>

The Regina Monologues
Time for the fourth episode of Season 15 already! In tomorrow night’s episode titled The Regina Monologues, “Mr. Burns loses a thousand-dollar bill that is turned into the main display at the Museum of Modern Bart. After Burns shows up to reclaim his money, Bart realizes he still earned enough from charging admission to take the Simpsons to England. When they arrive, Marge begs Homer to make this an incident-free trip, which he actually succeeds at until he accidentally runs into the Queen. Now the only thing that will earn Homer a stay of execution is whether he can uncover the plot to poison her majesty.” The episode has been heavily promoted in the media for it’s guest stars, Tony Blair, J.K. Rowling, Ian McKellen, Evan Marriott, and Jane Leeves.
